Lecture 12 - First Principles Modeling

Lecture 12 introduces first principles modeling. In previous chemical engineering courses, the dynamic equations were typically simplified by making a steady-state assumption. This allows cancellation of the accumulation term in material, species, or energy balances. In this course, we will retain the accumulation term to define dynamic systems.
